WAP sites are now a fundamental part of any marketing campaign. WAP enables targeting of customers on the move, reaching those people that are not sat in front of a PC.
The sites already have many features of the traditional internet but with the added benefits of instant contact with the customer anywhere at any time.
WAP sites should not be a stripped out, made to fit, version of an existing web site, but be made specifically for mobile devices and produced for that environment specifically.

We believe the approach of the Sun newspaper is 100% correct. Their strap line is, the brand, “The Sun” followed by “On Line, In Print, On Mobile”. They are separate entities and should be treated appropriately.
Mobile WAP search is an established medium with both Google and Yahoo having a strong and rapidly developing mobile presence. Again, mobile search ads do not draw from the existing Google and Yahoo database and separate mobile ads are required.
Position is critical with mobile ads as the screen naturally only fits in one or two advertisers, not 7 of 8 as with the internet.
